Privacy Policy
How Rafay Rent a Car collects, uses and protects your information.
This policy explains what Rafay Rent a Car Lahore collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how you can have it removed. It covers our website, our customer app and our booking system.
What we collect
When you send a booking request
- Your name, mobile number, WhatsApp number and email address
- Pickup and drop-off addresses, and the map coordinates if you choose to use the map or your current location
- Travel date, time, number of passengers and luggage
- Flight number and airline, if you book an airport transfer
- Company name and designation, if you make a corporate enquiry
- Any notes or special instructions you write
Automatically, when you use the site or app
- Your IP address and browser type, stored with your booking to help us investigate fraud and abuse
- Which page you arrived on and which website referred you, so we know which of our channels works
- Campaign tags (utm_source and similar) if you arrive from an advertisement
- A device push token, only if you install the app and allow notifications
What we never collect
We do not store card numbers or bank credentials. We do not track your location in the background. We do not buy or sell contact lists.
Why we collect it
- To arrange your trip. A driver cannot find you without an address and a phone number.
- To send you a quote and confirm the booking by email, WhatsApp or push notification.
- To keep records of bookings and payments, which we are required to retain.
- To improve the service. We count how many people request each service and vehicle. This is counted without your name attached.
Location
The website and app never ask for your location when they open. Permission is requested only when you tap Use my current location, and you can always type the address instead. If you allow it, we store the coordinates against that one booking so the driver reaches the right place.
Who we share it with
- Your assigned driver sees your name, pickup and drop-off, and your mobile number so they can reach you on the day.
- Service providers that carry our messages: an email delivery provider, a WhatsApp Business API provider, and Google Firebase for app notifications. They process the message on our behalf and nothing more.
- Google Maps if you use address search or the map, under Google policies.
- Google Analytics, if enabled, receives page and event data. We never send your name, phone number, email address or exact address to analytics.
We do not sell your data to anyone, for any purpose.
Cookies
We use one essential session cookie to keep your form entries and your login working. If Google Analytics or Tag Manager is switched on, those set their own cookies. Nothing on this site depends on advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Booking and payment records — retained for our accounting and tax obligations, normally several years.
- Enquiries that never became bookings — reviewed and cleared periodically.
- Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe.
- Security logs — a short rolling window, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct anything wrong, stop sending you marketing, or delete your account. Email contact@rafaycars.com or call 03214850003 and we will act on it.
Deleting your account
See Delete your account for how to request deletion and exactly what is removed. We will not claim your data disappears instantly when some records must be retained by law — that page sets out honestly what stays and why.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and can never be read back, by us or by anyone else. Access to the admin system is restricted by role and every significant action is logged.
Children
Our service is intended for adults arranging travel. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date below and, where the change affects you, tell you directly.
